The Bromfords School Celebrates Best-Ever Sixth Form Results in Historic Final Year
Students and staff at The Bromfords School are celebrating a truly historic achievement after securing the strongest A Level and vocational results in the school's history, marking a fourth consecutive year of improvement. The outstanding outcomes provide a fitting conclusion as the school prepares to join the Harris Federation next month. This year's cohort will be the final group of students to complete their post-16 education under The Bromfords School name, making their success all the more significant.
Jochen Tree, Headteacher of The Bromfords School, said: "We are immensely proud of our students and everything they have achieved. To secure our highest-ever results in this final year as The Bromfords School is a remarkable accomplishment and reflects the ambition, determination and resilience shown by our young people throughout their studies. These results are also a testament to the dedication of our staff, who work tirelessly to support, challenge and inspire students every day. I would like to thank every member of our school community, including parents and carers, whose encouragement and support have helped our students reach this important milestone."
The results highlight the success of both academic and vocational pathways, with students achieving excellent outcomes across a wide range of qualifications and progressing to exciting destinations beyond sixth form. Students will now move on to leading universities, higher and degree apprenticeships, employment opportunities and specialist training programmes, taking the next steps towards fulfilling their ambitions and career aspirations.

Above all, however, they are a celebration of our students and the hard work they have invested in achieving their goals. As they embark on the next stage of their journeys, we wish them every success and happiness. Whether they are progressing to university, beginning an apprenticeship or entering the world of work, we know they have the skills, character and determination to thrive. We look forward to following their future successes with great pride."
Although all students have much to be commended on, some have produced exceptional results:

Aleksander P achieved A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Physics and will progress to Anglia Ruskin University to study Medicine.

Naylah I achieved A in Biology, A in Psychology and B in Chemistry* and will progress to City St George's, University of London to study Optometry.

Ozlem K achieved B grades in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics and will take a gap year before beginning her studies in Pharmacy at University College London.

Summer T achieved B in Chemistry, A in Mathematics and B in Physics and will progress to University College London to study Physics.

The Bromfords School is proud to celebrate the achievements of its Year 11 students as they receive their GCSE results. This cohort has shown remarkable resilience, particularly during Key Stage 3, overcoming numerous challenges and demonstrating commendable progress throughout their secondary education.
Headteacher Jochen Tree shared:
“Today marks a celebration of effort, resilience, and personal growth. Our students have worked incredibly hard, and we are proud of each and every one of them. After a very difficult start to secondary school, every student, family and teacher should be very proud of their achievements. These results reflect not only academic success but also the character and determination that will guide them in the future. We are especially pleased with the number of students who exceeded expectations and made significant progress across a wide range of subjects, securing the grades needed for their next steps. The support of staff and families has been instrumental during this challenging academic journey, and their contributions are deeply appreciated.”
In addition to recognising the perseverance of students who overcame personal challenges, many linked to the pandemic, this year saw a number of outstanding individual achievements:
- Maisie M: One grade 9, Distinction*, three Grade 8s, two Grade 7s, two Grade 6s, and a Grade 5
- Anthony P: Four Grade 8s, three Grade 7s, two Grade 6s, and a Grade 5
- Erin S: Six Grade 7s, two Grade 6s, a Merit, and a Grade 4
- Tiana B: Five Grade 7s, three Grade 6s, a Grade 5, and a Grade 4
- Samuel C: Two Grade 8s, a Grade 7, four Grade 6s, and three Grade 5s
- Sadie B: Grade 8, Distinction, Grade 7, four Grade 6s, and three Grade 5s
We look forward to welcoming many of these students back into our Sixth Form, which celebrated its own excellent results last week.

Our Year 11 students have now gone on to the following destinations:
- 29% (57/198) students have enrolled at Bromfords 6th Form
- 58% (115/198) students have enrolled in other schools / colleges
- 7% (14/198) have secured full time apprenticeships
- 6% (12/198) Unknown destination
